Overview
The 3rd APEC e-Commerce Business Alliance Forum is a growing and broadening forum for exchanging ideas, observations, results on E-Commerce, following the 1st APEC E-Commerce Business Alliance Forum, in Yantai, China, and the 2nd APEC E-Commerce Business Alliance Forum in Qingdao, China.
The rise of e-commerce has accelerated the pace of economic & trade globalization. It influences significantly not only the economic growth mode, but also the international trade regime and economic structures. In order to speed up the process of transferring e-commerce from concept to practice, an in-depth research-e-Commerce Model is needed to integrate aspects of policy, infrastructure, management, technology to address the theoretical and practical aspects of e-commerce. We believe new e-commerce model will play an very important role for the e-commerce industry to overcome digital gap, to promote the development of trade facilitation and liberalization in APEC Region.
The 3rd APEC E-Commerce Business Alliance Forum will focus on a unique mix of topics related to e-commerce models that illustrate the need for searching a new e-commerce model, as well as the latest program on E-Commerce Model. The forum will provide a platform for government officials, industrial leaders and academic researchers to exchange latest progress including policies and regulations, experiences on industry practices, research results on e-commerce Model, etc.
The program of the forum will include paper presentations, panels, and work-in-progress sessions. The 3rd APEC E-Commerce Business Alliance Forum seeks original, unpublished research/case study papers reporting substantive new work in various aspects of e-Commerce. Research papers must properly cite related work and clearly indicate their contributions to the field of e-commerce development.
Scope of the forum
The scope of the 3rd Forum includes, but is NOT limited to, the following topics:
1. Innovation of Organization Structure
2. Innovation of Service Models
3. Innovation of Environmental Building
4. Innovation of Profit Models
5. Innovative Models of Service Outsourcing
6. Innovation of Enterprise Cost Management
Submissions
Authors are invited to submit manuscripts in English according to the above topics. All papers should be submitted electronically via conference website due on April.30th, 2008. The submission formatting includes:
1.No more than 8 pages in length including references, illustrations, and appendices.
2.Authors' names, contacts and affiliations appear on the paper.
3.A short abstract around 150 words and keywords contained on the first page
4.2-column format of single-spaced text in 10 point Times Roman for the body of the text
5.No page numbers
6.No headers and footers
7.Standard US-letter size, not A4
8.PDF or MS-Word format
The formatting template of the Camera-Ready Copy will be provided at the conference website after the paper is accepted. It is the responsibility of authors to ensure the originality, authorship, accuracy, complete references, coherent organization and legible appearance of their work.
Accepted papers will be published by APEC Secretariat (English edition) and will be mostly indexed by EI.
